What MUCCA Has Done So for.
Since its inception, the MUCCA has been engaged in a range of activities; several geared towards awareness-raising in addition to the core activities centered on tree planting and distribution, conferences. Amongst other things, the MUCCA has:
- Organized conferences on climate change awareness within Makerere University,
- Raised seedlings to plant in heavily degraded areas to restore the environment,
- Carried out tree planting in various places including Kawempe division where over 1000 trees were planted,
- Hosted a conference with the theme Clean Development Mechanism and Carbon Markets in partnership with United Nations Climate Change Secretariat-Regional Collaboration center- Kampala where a number of stakeholders participated,
- Collaborated with various students’ bodies and youth organizations on environmental campaigns
- Participated in previous Climate change Bootcamps
